I am 51 years old,  married with 3 children. I live in Downeast Maine.

I love to read. I really enjoy books that deal with lifes struggles and people working hard to get ahead or just get by. I most enjoy reading about England, Ireland, Romainia and Holland in the 1800's to early 1900's.  I also enjoy New York City during the Depression and before. My taste Are very eclectic and as my daughter says "very odd". I think she is right because a lot of the books I want to read are difficult to find.

A few of my favorites are: To Kill A Mockingbird - A Tree Grows in Brooklyn - Girl With A Pearl Earring - Child of the Jago - Good Earth - Their Eyes Were Watching God - Wake of the Wind - Other Winters,Other Springs, the list seems endless.

I also went through a period wre I read everything I could on the first Arctic Expeditions. Back when they were done to complete the maps of the world and not  just for the fun of it.

It's not always easy to find time to read for although I am a stay at home mom I always seem to be busy. Perhaps even busier than when I work outside the home.  I take care of my 3 year old grandson while my daughter is a work and I have a very busy 11 year old son.

I am sure I will alter this profile later on because I really don't know a thing about how to set this up so that gives me LOTS of room for improvement. I hope to get some ideas of the possibilities as i navigate through PBS. Until then I just wanted to get a little bit about me out there.
